UpdraftPlus, a WordPress plugin business with over 5 million installations worldwide, has acquired WP Overnight, a highly regarded Netherlands based developer of WooCommerce addons. The acquisition is the first for UpdraftPlus in the WooCommerce space, and their second acquisition in 17 months, following the purchase of WordPress plugin ‘All-In-One Security’ in August 2021.
“The acquisition of WP Overnight is another major leap forward for us,” said Joe Miles, Managing Director at UpdraftPlus.
“They’ve built a highly respected range of functional WooCommerce plugins which are impressive both in terms of their functionality and the feedback from users. Their success has been built on the back of very responsive user support and by really understanding the needs of their users. Our aim is to ensure this level of service continues. The entire support and development team have remained in place to ensure we achieve this.”
The acquisition of WP Overnight is a continuation of UpdraftPlus’ journey towards becoming one of the world’s leading WordPress and WooCommerce plugin businesses. Their portfolio now covers security, backups, e-commerce, and document management, and the user base continues to grow with over 5 million installations across the product range.
