Configuring Backblaze cloud storage access in UpdraftPlus

In this guide we’ll show you how to connect your Backblaze account to UpdraftPlus and save your backups.

If you already have your bucket set up, go to step 5.

Sign in to your Backblaze account.

  1. Click the Create a Bucket button.
  2. Give your bucket a globally unique name.
  3. Click the Create a Bucket button.
In the Backblaze section copy the 'Application key'
  1. Click the B2 Cloud Storage >> Application Keys link.
  2. Copy the Master Application Key keyID value.
In the 'Master Application Key' setup window, copy the 'keyID' value
  1. Click the Add a New Application Key button.
  2. Name your key.
  3. Click the Create New Key button.
  4. Copy all of the credentials.

Once the new key is created, copy the details and save them
  1. Go back to your website.
  2. Click Backblaze on the UpdraftPlus >> Settings tab.
  1. Scroll down to the new Backblaze section.
  2. Enter your master keyID in the Master Application Key ID field.
  3. Enter your application applicationKey in the Application key field.
  4. Enter your application keyID in the Bucket application key ID field.
  5. Enter the name of your bucket in the Bucket path field.
  6. Click the Save Changes button.
  7. Click the Test Backblaze Settings button to ensure everything is working.
In the Backblaze section, add your details then select 'Test Backblaze settings' button

Click Backup Now on the UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore tab.

  1. Check the options for Send this backup to remote storage and Backblaze.
  2. Click Backup Now.

Your backup is secured on Backblaze and is accessible from UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore >> Existing backups.
